Menopause

The menopause occurs when the hormones, oestrogen and progesterone, levels decrease. The resulting low and changing levels of hormones, particularly oestrogen, are thought to be the cause of menopausal symptoms in many women.

Peri Menopause

Peri-menopause is a time of transition, when hormone levels begin to fluctuate. Women can enter this stage 8 to 10 years ahead of menopause. Most women will notice peri-menopause symptoms in their 40’s. During this time your hormone levels fluctuate and this can result in many troublesome symptoms, particularly flushes, sweats and irritability.

Book an appointment with one of doctors to discuss your symptoms and any investigations that may be needed.
